Frequently Asked Questions
What is Hyaluronic ACID?
Many of the facial filling products used at Marsh Medical Skin Clinic contain non-animal, stabilised hyaluronic acid, a substance that occurs naturally in the body. This means that once in the skin it works together with the body’s own hyaluronic acid to create volume. No pre-testing is required and the product is perfectly suitable for those who have reservations about using a product derived from an animal source.
How is treatment carried out?
Local anaesthetic cream will be applied for 20-30mins for numbing action and then clinician will inject the filler using fine needle into required area i.e. lip volume or vermillion border.
What does treatment feel like?
It may feel as a pressure sensation. We also use Juvederm ultra products which also contain local aneasthetic in it.
Which areas can be treated?
Lip volume or Lip border (Vermillion border).
Before and After
Cheek Enhancement
This procedure is used to lift and rejuvenate your cheeks, all without the need for surgical operations. We use facial fillers(made from natural gel) to improve the appearance of saggy, aged- looking skin.
Facial wrinkling begins to appear as the underlying collagen and elastin fibres begin to break and wear down. This process is part of the natural ageing process and begins after the age of about 25, but a number of factors such as smoking and sun damage can accelerate collagen breakdown.
The most frequently used fillers are hyaluronic based (non-animal fillers) which replenish lost volume such as Juvederm.

The injections maybe slightly uncomfortable but we use numbing cream and also our product Juvederm contains anaesthetic in it. This local anaesthetic helps to minimise discomfort.
